Laura A Korman, MD

Laura was born in Okinawa, Japan and grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. After undergrad at the University of Michigan, she completed medical school at Tufts University in Boston, and did her internship and residency at OHSU in Portland. She and her husband then went to work on the Navajo Reservation in Northern Arizona. During this time she became board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology. After seven years in the high desert she returned to Portland in 2002.

Laura provides comprehensive Gynecologic services including full spectrum women's health from adolescence through menopause. She encourages maintenance of health, mind and body via nutrition, exercise, awareness and balance. Her wish is to provide a safe and judgment free place for women to come with concerns, questions, problems and choices.

Her surgical expertise includes traditional office based procedures, endometrial ablation and hysteroscopic sterilization, minimally invasive laparascopic surgeries (including the DaVinci robot), and conventional gynecologic surgery.

She loves to be outdoors, running, biking, skiing, and hiking. She also enjoys cooking, baking, art and music. She spends as much time as possible laughing and learning with her two daughters and husband.
